Item has been returned from being recorded as unidentified. Recently I have come across similar items on the web known as 'Celtic Wheel Money', maybe it is, maybe not.
Mystery Items

Has the appearance of some age, decorated both sides & around the circumference with punched rings. Seems to be complete. Possibly some sort of strap connector,

Looks like the end of a fancy hinge or strap, but is finished the same on both sides, suggesting it was meant to be seen from both sides. Probably pewter. Found close to two Elizabeth I Half-groats
From the same area, a bronze cylinder with three incised rings around its circumference. Possibly a ferrule from a tool

Some items we find look like they have been made for a specific task but its down to guesswork for what they actually are.

Not so much a mystery item, but a mystery date!
These items have been found over most of the farm, and must number in the dozens. Made of an alloy, therefore not very old. My suspision is they have a military origin. Approx 30mm *10mm
