The ring would have originally consisted of 12 beaded bands, 6 plain gold bands & 6 white enamel bands.

Thanks to Chris Marshall for help in translating the inscription.

The inscription could be based on the French "TOUT POUR VOUS" which means "All for you"

A ring with the same wording was found in the Thame hoard, which was dated by coin evidence to The War of the Roses c1460
